New scrap forum!!!

The new message boards are open to the public now! It has been available to the dt hopefuls for the past few weeks and we have all been busy getting it ready for everyone else. It's a great place to be and all the gals there are GREAT!!! So if you've been hunting that perfect place to call home, or if you just like being a part of several online scrapping communities, be sure to join us at The Scrap Pad. There are monthly contests, sketches, new product previews and lots of fun chitter chatter! Oh, and there will be their first ever online crop the last weekend in Feb., so you will want to come play along! Let me tell ya, there are gonna be some SWEET prizes!

Here's what I've been working on...

Over at TLL for their round 2 of the DT call. You really need to get over there and sign up, like I said before, there is so many cool things in the works over there! For one, the message board will be making it's debut sometime this weekend! I'd love to invite you to join us, be sure to let em know I sent ya ;->
This first one is a "something from nothing" challenge. I was limited to office supplies, cardstock, ink and stamps.

This one was an ispiration challenge and we were given a painting my Gustav Klimt to go by, and this is what I came up with:

I'm doing a happy dance!!! I made the team! I'm so excited, YIPPEEEE!!! I'm really looking forward to all that is to come with them! There is some other really amazing talent I'll be along side of! Ok, all this dancing has made me tired! I need to get a little rest, I have a busy day ahead of me. But I plan on posting more about this later, and getting my pages loaded for you!

I'm having so much fun over at TLSS, I just wish I could tell you about all the cool stuff that is in the works over there! My advise is, go on over and get registered, so when this cool stuff starts to unveil, you will already have that taken care of! The DT still hasn't been announced yet, and there is such great talent in the running! I would hate to be the one making the call!! When the DT is announced, however, I will be able to post my latest work here for ya to gander at!
A bit of good news, well, it's great news to me! I will be getting published for the first time EVAH!!! It's an Ezine called Ready, Set, Create! I'll get a link and date for ya soon!
Something else fun, I got my first crop a dile! I'm glad a held out for as long as I did, cause I ended up getting the new one that can go 6" deep! See, my dear sweet husband, as much as I love him, cannot buy good gifts for me at Christmas unless I just flat out show him what I want! So I returned my gift this year, I won't say what it was just that it was not scrap related, and then used that money to order the new tool for myself! It came yesterday and I got it out of it's package, but still haven't had time to play with it.

A first for me!

I created my very first sketch on the computer! It was super simple, to my surprize! I can't post here just yet, cause it is part of a competition, but here is a link you can see it at, along with my sample lo! I have been really busy with the 2nd dt round over there and having a ball! As soon as it's over I will share all the lo's that I've worked on! Or you can just look in the gallery there if you want a peak!

A Blast From the Past!

This layout was done a long time ago, but I wanted to post it here for a friend of mine. She shares the same admiration as me with Elsie Flannigan! And, besides this is one of my all time faves and it should be here, right! BTW, this layout won a freestyle contest at Scrappy Giraffe Kits when it was created.

Here are a few more "freestyle" layouts I have created. Ya know, looking at these is really getting me in the mood to scrap another like them! Freestyle is so much fun!

I'm doing a happy dance!! I made it to round 2 of the DT call for The Little Scrapshop! I'm really stoked about this! Be sure to check out the blog, it's a great place and they have some amazing kits too!! Here is a layout that I created for one of the challenges in round 2. The challenge was to use only these products: cardstock, either ink or paint (not both), either stamps or stencils (not both), and office supplies.
Temporarily removed, will be back soon!

Christmas Gifts for the teachers!

Came across the cutest lil wooden desk calendars and they were unfinished, so imagine the lightbulbs going on in my head!!! I picked up a couple to do for Autumn and Ethan's teachers and this is what I came up with.



And, I haven't done any scrapping since! Well, I take that back, I did make one more of those for my SIL and used up some John Deere paper that I have had since I first started scrapping. But it seems that I failed to get pics of that one, oops! Anyway, I have been wanting to scrap really bad but can't find my mojo! It has up and left me without any hint as to where it might be hiding! My poor supplies are crying my name, I really hope my lil mojo finds it's way back home, and SOON!
